fights, injuries and death. She can't fight. She knows how to fire a rifle for hunting, but that's for sport and her first instinct wouldn't be to point it at a person if she's in danger. She remains faithful to him, which is mostly because of her fear of the Martin-Hersilies' wrath if she shames Emrik; and fear of further reprisals from the royal family.
